Patrick Fileti is an award winning filmmaker, artist andphotographer. Born in Florence, Italy, Fileti was influenced early on bythe sensibilities of European cinema culture. Growing up amongst thehistory, architecture and characters of the city, with a father who was atheatre director, drama and art were in his blood. From earlyperformances on stage, he then found his way into photography, spending hisspare time in the darkroom or behind the lens of his beloved Nikon fg-20. Filetiwent on to study directing and cinematography at CECC in Barcelona, where hepursued a passion for film.
Fileti brings a wealth of international experience to his projects, havingworked in production companies in Barcelona, London and Sydney. In 2011Fileti co-founded the art collective archrival, to create unique installationworks for exhibitions such as the Venice international biennale, Sydney artmonth, art & about and Sydney fringe festival.
Fileti has directed Tvc campaigns for clients including Vodafone, Canon, EnergyAustralia, Bundaberg Rum, Samsung And J&B Whiskey. Notably his recentcampaign coca cola 'small world' was awarded three gold, two silver and fourbronze at the Cannes advertising awards.
Fileti’s work is shaped by a passion for beauty, thought-provoking imagery andan intimate character. His ability to work intuitively with talent andevoke heartfelt performances is key to the charm of his work. Thiscombined with a use of stunning cinematography and raw editing gives his work abroad and contemporary appeal.
