Nissan‘Qashqai Car Games'

TBWA London came to us with a set of viral films for Nissan and their new Qashqai crossover vehicle. Because the Qashqai was built to target consumers looking for a car bigger than a hatchback, yet smaller than a traditional SUV, the focus of the story needed to be on how sporty and light these vehicles were. From there the Qashqai Car Games were born, a fictional underground sport using these vehicles. The virals cover a variety of Qashqai drivers doing insane stunts and walking the line of believability, but with a comic twist to make them entertaining enough to pass along to a friend. To pull off this concept we shot the stories in such a way that allowed us to use CG cars and CG ramps to have these vehicles do some gravity defying stunts. With a great deal of attention paid the production and how the CG work integrated into the user-generated look to the film, we were tremendously successful at creating nearly believable films. Thanks some great seeding and excellent content, these films were viewed 16 million times in 12 countries creating a memorable viral campaign.
