Heineken ‘Starvision'

Being The Club' Star Visuals In an effort to push the interactivity of the clubbing environment we worked for Heineken to create an application that would make ordinary club-goers into the stars of the night. Having worked on a previous VJ footage project for Heineken(http://www.tribeunited.com/files/video/Heineken.STR.VJ.Footage.mp4), we saw a tremendous opportunity in this medium to create an experience unlike any other. In designing an application that allowed users to send pictures from their mobile phones and have them instantly integrated into a VJ set, we bought the audience front and center. We’d done some previous work with abstract 3D Soundscapes with Red Bull, but this time we wanted to bring the experience to a different level. After creating a number of animations and visualizer modes, we built a customizable application that would take any picture and integrate it into the animations. Then we built a stand-alone application that Heineken and VJs could take on the road to any club, and set up in minutes. It’s a real trip to watch your face exploded into thousands of bubbles, especially when you be up in the club getting your head sprung.
